Book Review : “Nuclear Milestones: A Collection of Speeches” by Glenn Seaborg

Review posted on the book-selling site Alibris, where I gave the book a score of 4/5. (I make no recommendation of any book marketplace over any other — this one gives me Amtrak points, so I tend to shop there.)

This volume is a collection of speeches by Dr Seaborg and a few others (including Presidents Johnson & Nixon) on various official or demi-official occasions. It includes useful facts, historical photographs, & many fascinating and often hilarious reminiscences — as when an “elderly & irascible Senator” demanded, during testimony, “what do you know about plutonium, anyway?” For those interested by the personalities behind the development, Nuclear Milestones is a must.
